A leather grocery bag shaped like the disposable plastic one it's meant to replace. H48 Leather Labs' Experiment 001 — since confirmed and graduated — takes buffalo hide, a leather often overlooked precisely because it's abundant, and works it into something plain enough to use every day.
The bag is unlined, so the soft suede back of the hide stays exposed. There's no hardware and no structure: it folds, flexes and slumps like the carrier bag it's modelled on. The handles are cut wide and integrated into the body, sized for hand and forearm carry rather than the shoulder.

- Full-grain milled buffalo leather (black); a top-grain dual-tone version in tobacco and grey is also offered
